Village Waltz-Nissi Love Dance (I)

作者:

In the Diqing Tibetan area of Yunnan, Nixi Township in Shangri-La County is a hometown of singing and dancing, and the famous Nixi dance originated from this area. The Nixi Love Dance is mainly represented by Tangman Village Love Dance. Each village in Nixi Township has its own unique love dance. The lyrics are roughly the same, but the tone is different. Most of Tangman's tone is longer, which requires a deeper confidence and a higher voice. However, this does not seem to be a problem. People describe the people here as "talking can sing, walking can dance." From the elderly in their 70 s and 80 s to the teenagers, they are all country dancers who love dancing.

Nixi Love Dance is a classified dance of Tibetan Guozhuang, which we are more familiar with. The local people call it "Jianglu Window" or "Zhuochang". It combines the content of Guozhuang and Xianzi dance, but has its own unique dance style. It has changed the bending movement in Guozhuang and added many dance steps of moving legs and kicking feet, making it more cheerful, unrestrained and wild than Guozhuang, and at the same time, the formation changes are also more abundant.

Who first invented this dance is now unproven. However, one thing is certain, it is gradually perfected by Tibetans in their productive labor and daily life, and the origin of all human art forms is nothing less. In the countryside, some great folk artists emerge in every age. They may uphold the aura of heaven and earth, or be influenced by cultural traditions. They are real folk artists who come from the bottom of society and dance and sing about the reality of social life at the bottom. Therefore, it is accepted and loved by the whole society, and it is a matter of course.

Our education and cultural background make our understanding and cognition of art limited to certain art forms in the ivory tower. We may let our children learn piano and violin, and learn some common music theory in school music lessons. But the children in the countryside are learning dances and songs inherited from the folk on the earth. This is a process of their growth and an indispensable part of life.

名族风情

When I visited Tangman Village, I met an old man casually. When chatting, I asked if I had danced love dance when I was young. The friends next to me would say, is he (she) the love dance teacher in our village? We have learned to dance love dance with their dance steps since childhood. A common phenomenon is that the older people, the more love dance tunes they master, and the more dance steps they can dance.

I met a middle-aged man named Qilin Peichu in a small natural village called Tanglangding under Tangman Village. People introduced him to be the prince of Tangman Village, who was a very good dancer. Moreover, it is said that he is very keen to restore the tradition of love dance in this area and is contacting some people to report to the township government. But when I first saw him, I couldn't connect him with a dancer. He is not tall, strong body, a simple face, is an authentic farmer, and a "prince" temperament is far from. However, my friend who accompanied me said that he was so good at dancing that we couldn't beat him. Blow batch is a handsome Kangba young man, about 1.83 meters tall, is my good brother in tangman village. In my opinion, a young talent like Blow is more suitable for the role of Prince of Love Dance. He used to drive a big truck before, and now he is the director of the village committee in the village. This is a democratic election by the whole village, and there is no moisture. He is warm and generous, and his voice is loud and clear. When he sings a song, you really envy his golden voice, which seems to be given by the gods. I 've seen people wearing festive costumes and dancing love dances, majestic fox fur hats, gorgeous Chuba inlaid with leopard skin, soft leather high-waisted Tibetan boots, and wearing all kinds of chest ornaments and waist ornaments, beautiful waist knives, wow! It was so unrestrained that he took away all the eyes of the girls on the court.

However, even though he was criticized, he admitted that he was not a prince of love dancing. He said that seven Lin Peichu was. I think the "old prince" may be more practiced and more perfect. Therefore, I still dispel my doubts first and go to Qilin Peichu's house with Blowing Batch.

We sat chatting by the fire pond of Qilin Peichu's house and asked him to introduce the characteristics of Nissi Love Dance. He was a little stiff at first, but he got more talkative as he chatted. He said that people would sing and dance around the Spring Festival. Singing is a competition between three villages on both sides of the canyon. When one village starts, the village opposite the mountain immediately answers, and other villages follow suit. Several villages take turns singing across the valley and compete with each other. It is really a very interesting scene. I think this is the reason why Tibetan songs are so high-pitched and agitated.

Tangman Village is located in a valley. On both sides of the valley, there are three small natural villages facing each other across a Tangman River. On the south side are Tanglangding Village and Busu Village, and on the north side are Kengu Village and Tangman Village. There are at least three or four miles of land closest to each other on both sides of the valley. People should let the people on the other side understand when singing. You should let the people across the valley understand what you sing. You should express your love to the people in your heart. You can't do without a loud voice. And in the countryside such a golden voice seems to be natural, unpolished. A Tibetan man or girl sings a song, cutting through the sky and ringing the clouds. When I first listened to Li Na's "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau", I was really moved by the loud and exciting voice, thinking that the voice was given by God. However, after I ran in Tibetan areas for a long time, I found that there were many people who could match Li Na's voice, but they were all hidden on the big stage in the countryside, and history did not give them a chance to sing under the light of the city's stage.

When the mountain is finished singing, it is time to dance. First the people in the villages jump themselves. On the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year, people in Tanglangding Village began to jump Guozhuang. People are divided into dance teams in the upper and lower districts according to the location of their houses in the village. The members of each dance team are from each household, some one person, some many people. The last movie danced to the next movie, and the next movie danced to the last movie. Every family had to jump. No matter rich or poor, no matter their relatives or enemies, people enjoyed themselves on this day. When you go to the house, you have to sing everything in the living room of the host's family, starting from the fireplace, then to the iron pot, tripod, stove chamber, and then to the sutra hall, Buddha statue, central pillar, floor, etc. When you see anything auspicious, you have to sing a song. The host family usually cooks a large pot of porridge with a pork belly in it for dancers. Of course, there are other snacks, such as melon seeds, cigarettes, pancake candy, etc. Such a pot village usually has to jump to dark before the village quiets down.

I think this is similar to a group New Year, but in the form of singing and dancing. What is amazing is that this form is full of human touch. The village not only celebrates the New Year in a school of singing and dancing, but also narrows the distance between each other. People who once had contradictions come together, sing a song and dance together. What kind of grievances can't be resolved in this strong nostalgia?

名族风情

I think of our New Year-oh, in Tibetan areas I always compare what I see with what we Han people experience, this is due to cultural differences. In the New Year, when we visit friends and relatives, we can only say a few uncharacteristic words such as "Happy New Year", and then distribute New Year's money to the children. For the children, that is the most exciting thing for them during the New Year. -By the way, on some occasions, the lucky money is also full of corruption and has become a means of bribery. Or, in this era when information technology dominates everything, we simplify the traditional New Year greetings more thoroughly, make a phone call, send a text message on our mobile phone, or say "Happy Spring Festival" from the Internet, and we feel that the love we should do is complete. The object we want to congratulate cannot even see or hear our face or even our voice.

Can we sing a song and dance for our host in the New Year? Can we get up early in the morning on the first day of the new year with a good expectation, burn the fire pond, prepare the most mellow wine, and wait for friends from a village to come to our home? No, we Han people are not good at this, and we do not have a fireplace to wait for guests. Perhaps we have long forgotten these most humane things. Our excitement may be in other places, we will drive out to travel, will "build the Great Wall" with friends, will find a place to relax and so on. But how much cultural and traditional value does it have? How much can we find the taste of New Year's reunion and the rare warmth between friends and relatives in the year?

I think this is one of the reasons why people in the city would rather go all the way to the countryside to celebrate the Spring Festival.

On that day, I sincerely invited Qilin Peichu to perform a love dance for us on the spot. I wanted to see the elegant demeanour of this "old prince. However, he was declined by Qilin Peichu. He always talked three ways and four ways, but he refused to stand in the middle of the room and show his dancing skills. At that time, I doubted whether he was old enough to dance as smoothly and freely as the wind. After he came out of his house, he told me, "Brother, you are really hard on others. How can Peichu dance love dance in front of his son and daughter-in-law? We Tibetans are very particular about seniority and elders in love dance. Only people of the same generation invite each other to dance, and people of different generations are never allowed to dance love dance."

I feel a little ashamed, I understand the love dance too vulgar. Only later did I know that although it was a love dance, it was not as casual as people thought. Love dance is divided into three categories, which are called "rubbing", "rubbing" and "rubbing" respectively. The first two categories are danced during marriage. At the wedding I attended in the village, people danced "rubbing" and "rubbing" at the beginning. Men, women and children can participate in this kind of dance, and the lyrics are mostly auspicious words such as blessing and congratulations; "Wipe Xi" is a dance that young men and women dance when they are in love, or according to our understanding, it is a real love dance that dances and sings with emotion.

名族风情

Blowing criticism also told me that Tibetans are actually very introverted and traditional. When young people dance the "wipe joy" love dance, people have to sing a song "Ye Le Xunru" first, which means to invite the elderly and children into the house., We young people are going to dance together. Even people in a village can't dance love dance together, because the village is full of cousins, uncles and brothers. Love dance can't even dance in front of their elders. Young people can't even hum at home. Therefore, when people sang "Ye Le Xun Ru", the old people avoided it with discretion.

Only then did I understand that Nessie's love dance was much more serious and disciplined than I expected, even to the point of being rigid. People usually go to other villages to invite their partners to dance. On the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, young people from various villages in Tangman will gather in a place called "smelly water" to dance with each other. It was the first gathering of young people in several villages in the New Year. At that time, the real love dance began. Many young people will find their loved ones in this love dance party, and there are also some love dancers who will be here. In this day, he established his status as a love dance prince.

It is said that in the past, young people with torches, through the starlight, walked ten or twenty miles, and then jumped all night. They look at time by the position of the stars and the moon and the mountains, mainly by the six stars and the opening stars in the sky. There is also the cock's crow, which is usually at 3 o'clock here, to count the morning and evening. By the time the star rises and the chickens cry, it's time for the girls and boys who dance love to go home. They quietly touch the door, quietly into the bed, pretending that nothing has happened. In fact, their parents have long understood what their children have done. After all, they were once young. However, parents pretend not to say anything even when they know it, and young people are not willing to say it to their parents. Is this a shyness or a custom? I don't understand.

But I understand that kind of passion and romance, understand that kind of simple and persistent. Do you have the courage and romance to walk dozens of miles on the mountain road, dance a dance, and then walk back dozens of miles?.

Young people must jump out of many love stories when they dance together. In the past, when men and women fell in love, they used to dance as a means of communication. If the parents of the daughter-in-law or son-in-law who "jumped" back are satisfied, it is fine. If they encounter obstacles, young people will naturally have a way, and there is no hurdle for love.

There was a custom of "stealing a daughter-in-law" here. Both men and women formed feelings when dancing love dances, and the woman's parents did not agree. The young man would secretly take the girl home and hide it in the highland barley cabinet at home until the woman's house looked for it. Why hide in the highland barley cabinet instead of hiding in other places? This has its symbolic significance. When the daughter-in-law passes through the door, she must have to deal with the highland barley cabinet every day. Tibetans say that their daughter-in-law has entered my highland barley cabinet, and she belongs to my family. Even if the woman's family insists on taking her daughter back, the girl will flee back, because she is, after all, the person who entered the highland barley cabinet. This is our Han saying that raw rice is cooked into cooked rice. What can you do?

However, we cannot look at this extraordinary "highland barley cabinet" from the perspective of the Han people ". Men and women cannot do excessive things before the wedding is officially held. Some young men and women have been together for too long because one of their parents does not agree. Instead of getting married, they become brothers and sisters. Since we can't get married, we can get along as brother and sister. This is quite puzzling to me, but this is the reality of the village.

The young people in the village are now planning to resume a long-lost national festival "Shu'an Yizhuo". Its Chinese meaning is "the villages in the eight districts of Nisi will all meet and dance in a place called Dogla Palace on the eighth day of the third lunar month", which is equivalent to a grand temple fair. It is said that this activity has a history of more than 300 years. In the past, people gathered together on this day. In addition to the elderly chanting sutras, young people danced love dances. At the same time, activities held include national costume performances, jewelry wear, folk religions, beauty pageants, young men and women talking about love, etc. This activity was discontinued after liberation. When the Dogla Palace was liberated, it became the residence and defense of the garrison, and even dug tunnels below. Later, it was occupied by schools and township health centers, and the Bodhisattva of the Dogla Palace was smashed during the Cultural Revolution. Now those who love dance enthusiasts are eager to resume this national activity. People's cultural life is boring enough, there should be such an activity to add a little color to ordinary days.

The young man like the one who blew the batch was well-groomed, tall and burly, with the typical temperament of a Kangba man, intelligent and well-informed. City people play fashion, no he won't. The mobile phone he uses is more than my new model. Most of the clothes he wears are famous brands. Walking on the streets of the city, no one will think that he is from the countryside. Blowing criticism belongs to the new generation of rural youth. The farm work in the field is basically not done or can't be done. It is enough to leave it to the family to take care of it. I do a little business outside, and I spend money like water when I have more money. When I have less money, I also don't worry about spending money, and my life seems to be more chic and ahead of me. I drink and chat with him, and often when he advises you to drink, a "famous saying" pops up in his mouth: "wine, water, food (made), drink; Smoke, grass, burn; Money, paper, flowers." As soon as I heard this "famous saying", I was happy, my head was big, I was dizzy, and I was totally drunk. He seems to be a person who doesn't care about anything. He is a very different person from the simple and honest Tibetans in the village. But when it comes to the love dance in his hometown, his pride and enthusiasm will often move you. Whenever there are any cultural activities, the "old prince" Qilin Peichu, the captain of the Tangman Village Love Dance Team, is also one of the enthusiastic people. When I was in Tanglangding Village, I once saw a request report drafted by him requesting the resumption of the "Shuzhuoyi 'an" activity. The writing is very clumsy and straightforward, and it was printed on a computer. At that time, even the township government did not have a computer, and people had to go to the city more than 30 highways to print documents and so on. From this little thing can be seen seven Lin Peichu's warm heart. The love dance "old prince" longs for a show of heroine in "tree zhuoyi.

In fact, the township government also hopes to set up this traditional activity as soon as possible, so as to promote the development of tourism. With the prosperous development of tourism in Diqing Tibetan area, the tourism resources of Nixi Township are not without, but lack of opportunities. The famous snow mountain in the village, Balagzong Snow Mountain, is not accessible to tourists, but the national cultural resources have great potential to be tapped. Township cadres infer that outsiders must like to watch our Nisi people's love dance. The quiet countryside is finally unwilling to be lonely and wants to stand in the foreground of history.

名族风情

Fortunately, this year I received a phone call from the blow batch in Kunming, saying that "Shu Zhuo Yi 'an" has recovered. Come on the 8th of March next year. There are many beautiful girls who will come out to dance at that time.

Well, I 've talked so much about the love dance and other things in the past, now let's go and experience it for ourselves.

The love dance I participated in was performed by people at the wedding. In this three-day wedding, the love dance was also a very important part of the ceremony. If there is no love dance, how can the guests be satisfied?

On the first day of the wedding, after dinner, people came to a clearing outside the village and lit several bonfires on a relatively gentle highland barley ground. This is not a flat ground, but only a piece of highland at the foot of the mountain. Slope field for planting highland barley. In the winter, the place was idle and close to the host's house, so it became a place for people to dance at the wedding.

There is still a song as a prelude before the dance. People form a big circle, and people from the two villages naturally enter a competitive state just like when they sing to each other during the day. The first song is mostly sung by guests from the man's family, to the effect that the woman's family is invited to sing and dance with us. One side sings two passages with the same lyrics. At this time the dance is very soothing, movement range is not big. The dance at this time belongs to the classical love dance, which is the love dance of "rubbing with" and "rubbing in". The lyrics are also difficult to translate, which is equivalent to the classical Chinese in our Chinese. I asked my Tibetan friends to help me translate, but their education level is not high, scratching their heads for a long time, can only regret to say to me, the lyrics are too deep, we can sing in Tibetan, but speak Chinese, it is not good. I know that there are some ancient words in the Tibetan language that are very difficult to say, and only the eminent monks in the temple can understand their meaning. This is a bit like our ancient prose. People who have not received ancient Chinese education are also scratching their heads and doing nothing in the face of those square characters.

It should be noted that there is a difference between Nisi Love Dance and Tibetan Guozhuang and Xianzi Dance. The pace of the dance is different. People describe the dance as "smooth and easy", that is, waving the left hand to kick the left foot and dancing the right hand to step the right foot. I once tried to learn to dance, but how to dance was awkward. The clumsy appearance caused the Tibetan friends around me to laugh. However, they jumped up so smoothly and stretched and moved freely. Besides, I'm not familiar with the tune of love dance. I always can't step on the beat. People lift my left foot. I also lift my right foot high. People turn around. I just stand there and can't find the north. Watching Tibetans dance is a pleasure, and dancing with them, we are full of ugliness.

The lyrics of the tunes of Nissi Love Dance, Guozhuang Dance and Xianzi Dance are also different. In Xianzi Dance, people still pull Xianzi and dance to the melody of Xianzi. There are generally no musical instruments on the Nissi Love Dance, and it all depends on people singing live. And it is a duet form of dance, with a certain nature of competition. When dancing love dance, people are divided into two teams, singing and answering, singing and dancing. If one party can't sing or dance, it is a loser. What is lost is the face of the individual, the honor of the village, or the heart of a secret admirer. We all know that the person who dances most smoothly and stretches and sings most loudly and tactfully is the star in people's minds. He (she) will be chased by all warm eyes and loved by all gentle hearts. Whether in the city or in the countryside, people's feelings and love for stars are actually the same.

It is said that in order not to lose to each other when people dance love dances, sometimes they jump for three days and three nights except for the time of eating, and they don't even sleep. Some men have been jumping to urine blood, but also refused to end. I don't know what kind of spiritual power supports these love dancers. I think maybe dance is not only for the pleasure of oneself and others, but also for the proof of life power. When a real man needs to prove the value of life, he can not pity life.

I once had a drink in the village with the blowing batch, and everyone got drunk. Blow criticism must pull me to dance love dance, the two of us side, and several other young men to dance. But because I couldn't, and I was so drunk that we lost the jump. This was originally a drunk game-at least I saw it this way, but I didn't expect to criticize this guy seriously and scold me to death. We had a big fight that night and almost didn't use a knife. I was really embarrassed to be scolded by the criticism, so I cried out with the courage of drinking: "The criticism, isn't it just a dance? If you lose, you will lose. If you are not convinced, you will stab me." Blow batch is still yelling over there, as if he really wants to find a knife. Fortunately, there were still a few guys who didn't drink enough that day, and they pulled the blow away.

This matter has been going on for a long time, and I still feel bitter when I mention it, saying that I am useless and have lost his face.

Therefore, people dancing on the dance floor are not so much participating in an entertainment or game, but rather an arena of life, a great opportunity for people to prove their talents and passions. You think about it, in ordinary days, everyone has to work hard for a living, and it is extremely hard work. The crops in the fields have to be served, the livestock in the mountains have to worry about, and the oil, salt, firewood and rice at home have to be planned. It is not easy to live. But now you look at it, the moment of joy has come, the moment of forgetting all troubles has come, and the opportunity to prove your singing and dancing talent has come. The girls and boys of Kangba stood on the stage of the earth, and they wanted to show their talents between heaven and earth.

After a few laps of classical love dance that night, it was already around eleven o'clock. At this time, people sang "Ye Le Xun Ru". The big circle that had been keeping the formation unchanged just now began to disperse. Some impatient young men whistled frivolously. My Tibetan friend said, "Now we are young."

I found that the old people on the court had withdrawn one after another, and the bride and bride also packed their bags and went home surrounded by their families. By our Han rules, it's time for people to mess with the bridal chamber. But there is no such thing in the village. Young people have more important things to do-to dance their own love dance. In the blink of an eye, 3. four small circles were formed on the court. Young people formed a group of three or five, and the male and female branches played against each other, and began to dance the "wipe joy" love dance. At this time, the mood on the dance floor relaxed and lively, and the dance movements were larger and faster. Young people no longer stiff, rigid, laughter melted the thick night. Unfortunately, I can't understand the Tibetan lyrics, but it is said that some of the lyrics will be very implicit and profound, while some bold young people will sing more straightforward lyrics, which have a strong sense of tease. So I could see the shy smiling faces of the girls and hear the hearty laughter of the boys in the light of the fire.

At this time, it was a real country dance competition. The dance steps and lyrics sung in each small circle were different. People were now making up the lyrics and dancing, trying their best to compete with each other. The tune is sometimes high-pitched and passionate, sometimes tactful and lingering. Stomping feet, throwing sleeves, turning around, kicking, everyone looks like a "dancing master". One song is not over, one song is played again. God knows how many love dance tunes they have in their stomachs, and God knows when their passion will be released.

These dancers on the earth suddenly remind me of the waltz danced by the people in the city. Although the dancing postures between the two are so different, the soil they produce and the cultural connotations they represent are also different, but I always feel that they have many similarities and differences. From the folk, but elegant tradition, popular in the public, but noble and romantic. Gorgeous costumes, unrestrained passion, elegant dance, elegant dance steps, fierce confrontation. If someone comes to run a love dance competition like the Waltz Competition, I believe that Nessie's love dance can also be loved by the public, can also enter the hall of elegance, and even go abroad. In fact, there are already several Tibetan folk dance teams in Diqing, who have been invited by several Southeast Asian countries to visit and perform.

The sky is full of stars. Some stars blink. It seems that they are tired, but the dancers on the earth are not tired at all. They are dancing happily. I stayed until more than one o'clock in the morning. I could do nothing but watch the scene of bustle, but as a spectator, I was already tired. When I went back, I climbed onto a mountain. Looking back, the bonfire under the hillside shone in the thick night sky, and the singing of the wind penetrated the curtain of the night, making this night unusual. At that time, I remembered the story of the red dancing shoes. Once the dancers put on the shoes, they would dance non-stop. Those Tibetans who forget to dance must have a pair of red dancing shoes under their feet.

Gods, I believe there are dancing gods in this world. They can jump out of the sky and the earth. They can create dances beyond our imagination. They can dance to make the sun shy, the stars dim and the earth reborn. They can even ferry their lives to the other side of happiness with just a song and dance. Almighty and merciful gods, may you bless them and may you bless them to find their love in the dance.

The current outbreak, the responsibility is on the shoulder, Balagzon in action!

Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Tibet on August 7, 2022, a large number of tourists from Tibet to Yunnan have entered Shangri-La from National Highway 214. The People's Government of Diqing Prefecture has issued a series of relevant policies and measures and actively responded. Medical staff, police and other front-line personnel stick to the front line, have been involved in the "war of resistance" of the epidemic without gunpowder smoke, and jointly participate in dealing with a major public health security incident faced by mankind.
