At 4:44 a.m. on August 28, 2013, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 on the Richter scale occurred in the Balagzong Grand Canyon Scenic Area in Shangri-La, causing serious landslides and rockfalls on the road from National Highway 214 to the Balagzong Scenic Area. The road was severely damaged and could not be accessed, causing power and communication interruptions in the Balagzong Scenic Area. There were more than 50 tourists, more than 100 scenic staff, more than 60 local people, more than 60 people, and several construction teams trapped. The government department immediately organized the establishment of an earthquake relief headquarters, directed the establishment of a road traffic protection team, and organized relevant departments and personnel to rush to repair the road leading to the scenic spot. The general manager of the scenic spot, Snadings, rushed to the front line as soon as possible to personally direct the road rush. All the staff of the scenic spot also actively cooperated with the headquarters's disaster relief operations and through the efforts of everyone, finally all the trapped tourists were safely transferred out of the scenic spot at 6 pm that day. In order to thank the Balagzong Scenic Area and relevant government departments for their help, on October 8, the trapped tourists represented by Peng Xiaoping, a member of the Jiangyang District Government of Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, personally delivered the letter of thanks and the banner to the Balagzong staff.

The waiter specially cooked porridge for me and brought the porridge to my bed in person. I put sugar when I want to put sugar, and salt when I want to put salt. One waiter said that he had studied medicine and gave me an injection later. We are grateful for your deep feeling and incomparably precious true feelings in the world.
