The closest place to heaven in Balagzon
Author:
Here was once a pure land on earth where no one set foot; here was once a paradise where the legendary gods lived; here is also a Shambhala where the world pursues its dreams; here......
This paradise, which integrates heaven, earth and people, Balagzong, has both towering and steep canyons waiting for you to set foot in, as well as countless moving mysterious legends waiting for you to explore, as well as magnificent and deep mountains, verdant forests, silver lakes and ice peaks standing in the clouds waiting for you to experience.
When people set foot on this secret land, they can not only feel the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, but also listen to many magical and moving legends and graceful folk stories.
A into a mysterious and beautiful graceful road
Shangri-La Grand Canyon Balagzong National Scenic Area, located in the northwest of Shangri-La County, is one of the core scenic spots in the Hongshan area of the "Three Parallel Rivers" World Natural Heritage.
The Balagzong Snow Mountain, which is 5545 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in Shangri-La County. The vertical three-dimensional climate of "one mountain is divided into four seasons" is very obvious, covering almost all the three-dimensional ecological types and landscape resources of the natural vertical belt from the dry and hot valley of the world natural heritage site of "three parallel rivers" in northwest Yunnan to the modern glacier belt.
Along the Jinsha River tributary Gangqu River upstream, strong and majestic mountains and valleys, steep and towering cliffs, strange rock texture and geological folds, on the cliff to form a variety of huge landscape rock paintings, and the mountain's strange flowers and plants and strange vines and strange trees complement each other.
"There are gorges in the gorges, there are gorges on the gorges, criss-crossing, and the gorges are connected" is the biggest feature of the Shangri-La Grand Canyon Balagzong International Scenic Area.
Many tourists who come here are quite amazing: how can there be many tropical plants growing on this snowy plateau, such as cacti and palm trees. To this end, the Balagzong scenic area also has a fascinating Palm Gorge.
Palm Gorge is named because there are many palm trees in the canyon. The palm trees here are about 10 meters high, some are like a street lamp, standing out from the crowd; some are attached to the wall, like father and son; some are close to each other, like lovers... On the cliff, you can also see a palm forest of about 5 mu, upright and upright, with green leaves and green vines, feeling like entering a tropical rainforest area.
Many biologists believe that palm trees in Yunnan are mostly cultivated artificially, and wild mountain palms are only distributed in hot climates or in areas below 1990 meters above sea level. However, the large area of wild mountain palm forest distributed in the Balagzong scenic area is purely rare.
B. Revealing a thousand-year-old legend of the Komba tribe
A little-known pure land on earth, a dusty thousand-year-old heroic legend.
There is a village called Bala at the end of Bala Zong Grand Canyon. She is located at the foot of the snow mountain of Bala Zong. She is like a leaf and grows in an almost isolated place. About 1300 years ago, there was a snadoji chiefdom in Batang area. He was brave and good at fighting and dominated one side. He was a very admired hero in Kangba area. It is said that not only are people in awe of him, but even the tiger shakes his head and tail when he sees him. After most of his life, Snadoji's wife Ren said that Ram felt tired and just wanted to find a piece of pure land and live a peaceful life.
One day, when Snardoji returned home, he found his wife missing. The old butler told him: "The old lama in the tribe came, and he told his magical dream-'There are high mountains, green trees, clear water, snow-capped mountains shining with auspicious light, and wide pastures... 'Ram followed him after hearing this."
Ren said that Ram's departure made Snadogi extremely painful and lost interest in everything he had. He wanted to find a peaceful place that would not make him think of war, plunder and desire. He decided to lead the ministry to find Ram and explore the magical dream described by the old Lama. He sent more than 20 young and strong "soldiers". In three years, he traveled to every mountain and river on the Kangba Plateau, came to the Balagzong Grand Canyon, and settled in the depths of the canyon at the foot of Gezong Snow Mountain. In this way, a heroic tribe disappeared, and at the foot of the snow-capped mountains in the southeast of Tibet, a mysterious village began to greet the rising sun and the setting moon peacefully.
There is a sacred white tower on the uplifted hillside at the entrance of the village. Every day, the villagers take out the fine firewood that has been prepared for a long time and burn the incense piously to pray for the protection of the snow mountain. In an unprecedented quiet, all eyes were fixed on the prayer flags, watching the cigarette drifting quietly over the spire of the white tower. The men faced the snow-capped mountains and chanted loudly. In the long and simple carols, the girls, children, young people and old people in the village all revolved clockwise around the White Pagoda. The firewood soon burned, and the villagers put the collected incense cypress branches, and the white powder mixed with butter, highland barley powder, milk residue, etc. was also sprinkled into the fire. Smoke rose and drifted to heaven with the sound of whispering chanting. In the echoes of the snow-capped mountains on all sides, the newly hung prayer flags fluttered quietly in the wind. Here, villages, white towers and snow-capped mountains form a magical axis, stringing together the survival, feelings and beliefs of the villagers. There are countless prayer flags on the White Pagoda. They are flying in the wind, like telling many dreams, large and small.
Over the years, the villagers of Babi and Gezong Snow Mountain have forged an indissoluble bond. On the kilometer cliff opposite the village, there is a simple "zigzag" shaped horse track. Walking down from the dangerous horse track, you will reach the foot of the snow mountain. At the foot of the snow mountain is a natural pasture with lush grass, where the villagers' sheep live freely. Some are meticulously eating the green grass, and some are looking up at the white clouds in the sky with rapt attention......
C Dialogue A Spiritual Snow Mountain on Top of Peaks
A few tens of meters ahead of the reception center of the scenic spot, you can see a thousand-year-old bodhi. According to the "Golden Bright Most Victory King Jing", the bodhi tree has a patron saint, which is called the bodhi tree god. Tibetan Buddhism believes that the bodhi tree embodies all kinds of virtues, not only can help people realize their wishes, but also can protect all living beings through the ages. Therefore, everyone who passes by from now on will pray devoutly.
Along the canyon all the way up the winding mountain road, you will see the towering, perennial snow, the shape of the pyramid-like tall and straight Gezong Snow Mountain.
According to the introduction of the elderly in Bala Village, Gesong Snow Mountain is also known as "Gesong Bansong", which means Gesong 3 sisters. Legend has it that they are the daughters of the god of mountain rongzan kawagbo, and they want to marry the family of mountain gongga god in the northeast to be the wives of "gongga bensong" (the third prince of gongga). In the Year of the Goat in the Tibetan calendar, when the three beautiful princesses came down to Bala accompanied by their attendants, it was already bright, and the shy three princesses stayed in Bala from then on, becoming the three main peaks on the Gezong Snow Mountain and the surrounding sacred mountains. To this day, there are still groups of believers who have come to the sacred mountain for pilgrimage.
Around Gezong Snow Mountain, there are 18 plateau holy lakes, large and small, including Luozuo (a lake soaked by sheep), Cuo Nazan Wonka (Tuguo Lake) and Tsering Cuo (Changming Lake). The beautiful lake, the quiet blue, is so quietly like a mirror in the blue sky, snow-capped mountains, white clouds, clear and microwave rippling, blue so transparent, so clear, it is a perfect picture falling from the sky to the world.
Around this snowy mountain, there are many natural relics, biological species and ecological wonders. There are vivid natural pagodas, plateau lakes with an altitude of 4000 meters, green waves rolling and vertical migration of Naidang pastures, as well as rich rare animal and plant resources, such as ginkgo biloba, fir pine, Yunnan pine, fritillary, Yunnan golden monkey, panda, rock sheep, black-necked crane, etc. It is the first choice for adventure tourism and scientific investigation.
This grand canyon, which integrates snow-capped mountains, glaciers, forests, meadows, canyons, rivers, plateau lakes and ancient villages, not only shows people the steep canyons, towering mountains, lush forests, clear lakes and standing ice peaks, but also tells people the Shangri-La story of the perfect integration of various geological landscapes and Tibetan traditional sacred mountain culture.
Due to the low altitude and pleasant climate of Balagzon Canyon, it is not only praised as "Shangri-La Little Jiangnan" by the ethnic groups living in the snow-covered plateau of Diqing for generations, but also rated as "International Ace Tourist Attraction" and "National AAAA Level Tourist Attraction".
